LIC India (Life Insurance Corporation of India) is inviting application for 200 Vacancies for the posts of Assistant Administrative officer across India.

About LIC India :

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment company headquartered in Mumbai. It is the largest insurance company in India with an estimated asset value of INR 1560482 crore (US$240 billion). As of 2013 it had total life fund of Rs.1433103.14 crore with total value of policies sold of 367.82 lakh that year.
The company was founded in 1956 when the Parliament of India passed the Life Insurance of India Act that nationalized the private insurance industry in India. Over 245 insurance companies and provident societies were merged to create the state owned Life Insurance Corporation

The Oriental Life Insurance Company, the first company in India offering life insurance coverage, was established in Calcutta in 1818 by Bipin Behari Dasgupta and others. Its primary target market was the Europeans based in India, and it charged Indians heftier premiums. Surendranath Tagore (son of Satyendranath Tagore) had founded Hindusthan Insurance Society, which later became Life Insurance Corporation.

LIC's slogan " yogakshemam vahamyaha " is in Sanskrit language which translates in English as "Your welfare is our responsibility". This is derived from ancient Hindu text, the Bhagavad Gita's 9th chapter, 22nd verse. The slogan can be seen in the logo, written in Devanagari script.

  • Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalists) : Graduation or Master Degree in any discipline 
  • Assistant Administrative Officer (Chartered Accountant) : An Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Pay Scale : Rs. 17240- 840(14)-29000-910(4)-32640/-

Age Limit : 

21-30 yrs as on 1/01/2015. Upper age limit five years for SC/ST/ECO/SSCO/LIC Employees, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for PWD Candidates.

Selection Process : 

Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the on-line test followed by personal interview & Medical Examination.

Application Fee : Rs.500/- for General/OBC candidates & Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates
