Junior Software Engineer

Job Description:


  • Junior software developer to participate in the development & maintenance of a cross-platform application development framework. You will be responsible for development and maintenance of new and existing product functionality.
  • To liaise with local development lead and senior developers, take programming or design specifications and create product functionality using group processes and practices.
  • To liaise with QA team so they are able to produce effective test plans / scenarios
  • To ensure compliance with the product enhancement standards employed within the group
  • To code and unit test product enhancements from the functional specification.
  • To maintain technical product documentation in light of new or modified product functionality.
  • To contribute to continued product set evolution with enhancement suggestions.

  • To ensure direct line manager is kept up to date with progress on current work assignments.
  • To use the timesheet system to keep track of time spent on each task.
  • To provide structured QA tests (automated where appropriate) suitable for inclusion in the product QA and build cycles when resolving faults.
  • Candidate Technical Requirements & Personal Attributes (Essential / Desirable).
